Sermon 2

Prayer is not simply about finding the right words or asking God for what we need. Prayer is the sacred practice of becoming present—to God, to ourselves, and to the world around us.

Sometimes prayer is filled with words of gratitude and joy. At other times, it is nothing more than silence, a sigh, a tear, or the quiet longing of the heart. God receives it all.

Jesus often withdrew from the crowds to pray. In those quiet places, he rested in the presence of the Father and returned renewed for the work of love. We are invited into that same rhythm.

Prayer does not always change our circumstances, but it can change the way we enter them. It opens our hearts, loosens our fears, and reminds us that we are never alone.

So come as you are. Be still. Listen. Breathe. God is already here, waiting to meet you.
